Becoming the Titus 2 Woman God Desires
How to have a heart change that changes your life. I’m setting a theme that’s a bit risky. A theme I hesitate to speak of because it’s not one that you may like! It involves the word “Change.” There, I saw you wince.
Yeah, I totally get it. I definitely used to be one to balk at a change in my life, especially the change imposed on me by someone else! (Maybe a bit of a rebel confession?) But, by embracing the change God wants in me, submitting to His work in me, I’ve learned a new level of walking with God and one that brings much more glory to Him!
Through God’s work over time, He brought me to a place where I began to long for change and cry out to God, “Lord, Change me!” Embracing the change that God was prompting in my life.
God prepared me for heart change through a series of events. In the coming weeks, I’ll share testimonies of the major change God produced in my life.
There was a victory over bitterness. Becoming more organized. God made me DESPERATE for the change that He wanted to accomplish in me! Are you desperate to change?! What is God prompting you to give to Him and to change?
Are You Ready For Some Victory In Your Life?
Over the years, God’s done some huge work in me and given me victory in critical areas. (Please don’t misunderstand that to mean I have arrived at some state of perfection or anywhere close to it! Those who know me well would never have that misunderstanding!:)
The change wasn’t easy, but I’m so grateful for the work He’s done and is doing! I don’t believe in resolutions. Setting goals I firmly believe in! January 1st isn’t so important. The most important goals that I have set, and achieved success in accomplishing, were not near the first of the year. The date I began successfully losing almost 50 lbs was on February 16! Most importantly, we must be attuned to God’s voice and His prompting to change and be ready to move when He says move, no matter what time of year it is!
God Can Make The Heart Change He Desires to Accomplish in Me
Based on Scripture, I boldly say that God wants to change you, and use you to glorify Himself, just as much as He wants to change me! If we are believers in Jesus Christ, He is working on us until the day He takes us home to heaven to be with Him forever! God’s Word says, “He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it.”
There is more God wants to accomplish in us, but He needs to make changes first. Is there a change He’s prompting you to make? Are there sins He’s convicting you of? He is powerful enough to accomplish what He wants to change in you! Do you believe that? His plans are always good!
Heart Change is Really Spiritual Growth
Others may call Heart change: spiritual growth or growing in Christ-likeness. And in the Bible, it’s called being conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, obedience to the Word of God, being transformed, etc., etc., etc. And it involves discipline.
Are you ready to change? Having set goals, are you setting the ones God wants? You may be making progress on some things, but I know there is something more the Lord wants to do in your life. Perhaps you’re already struggling with the goals you set, or maybe you’re doing well with them. You may, like me, be seeking the Lord for the goals He wants you to set right now.
Lord, Change My Heart!
Wherever you are, God has plans for you and me for further change because we’re not perfect yet. Let’s seek His face for what He wants to do in us. Let’s courageously ask Him, “Lord, change me!”
